Sherlock's Andrew Scott starts shooting The Stag
BAFTA-winning actor Andrew Scott (Moriarty in BBC1’s hit drama series Sherlock) is to star in a new Irish comedy film called The Stag. Co-written by Peter McDonald (who was Oscar nominated for the short film Pentecost) and novelist John Butler, the film started shooting on Monday November 12 around Dublin.
The Stag is about a group of friends on a bachelor party. Scott plays the best man while Hugh O’Connor plays the groom. It will be shot on location for four weeks and is supported by the Irish Film Board. Theatrical release is lined up for 2013.
