Harry Potter TV series begins shoot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden

Harry Potter is played by Dominic McLaughlin, with Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley

Production is underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on the behemoth new Harry Potter TV series for HBO, in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.

The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod executive producing and directing multiple episodes. Also exec producing are J K Rowling, Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.

The HoD line-up is as follows: Adriano Goldman is DoP; Cate Hall is hair and make-up designer; Paul Herbert stunt co-ordinator; Mark Holt SFX supervisor; Mara LePere-Schloop production designer; Naomi Moore set decorator; John Nolan creature effects design supervisor; Alexis Wajsbrot VFX supervisor; Dom Sidoli VFX producer and Holly Waddington is costume designer.

Other cast includes: Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley; Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom; Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley; Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
