C5 Celebrates Big Brother Revival

An estimated 3 million viewers saw Paddy Doherty win the final of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 last week. Equating to a 14% share of terrestrial viewing at 2100, the relaunch of the franchise has been an undoubted success for the broadcaster.

C5 didn’;t manage to hold on to the 5m+ who watched the series opener. But 3m is a good result for the channel, which managed to take almost 20% of the 16-34 demographic. The question now is whether it can carry that scale of audience over to the non-celeb series of Big Brother, which started last Friday night. C5 will be hoping the presence of former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson will help.
