Deadline approaches for ScreenSkills Series Producer course
ScreenSkills’ Series Producer Programme (SPP) takes place from February-August next year, and has a deadline for applications of 12 December.Â
Â
The course will take place from 22 February – 31 August 2023 and is aimed at ambitious producers based in the nations and regions.
Â
SPP delegates will have exclusive access to leading broadcasters and commissioners, in addition to in person and online training sessions, and guidance from an assigned industry mentor. Delegates will acquire the knowledge, skills and network to make the move from producer to series producer and to develop the next generation of showrunners.Â
Â
There are just 22 places available across the nations and regions, so it is a very competitive scheme. The course is a ScreenSkills programme delivered by TRC, and is supported by the ScreenSkills Unscripted TV Skills Fund.Â
Applicants should have significant experience as a television producer/director and must be based in the nations and regions, ie not London or the south-east.Â
Â
In-person training sessions will be held in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol/Cardiff and Manchester, along with online training sessions, workshops and masterclasses.Â
Â
Alongside the application form, applicants are also required to upload (Word doc or PDF) their CV and a short written statement of support from a previous employer/referee. The course fee is ÂŁ1250. To find out if you are eligible for a bursary, for more information please contact the project manager.Â
Â
Accommodation will be provided, where required, for the in person training sessions due to take place in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol/Cardiff and Manchester. A travel expense bursary is available.Â
