Mark Gatiss adapts The Mezzotint

Mark Gatiss has adapted MR James” ghost story The Mezzotint for BBC Two; filming wrapped recently on the drama that will tx at Christmas.

From Can Do Productions and Adorable Media, the haunting standalone drama stars Rory Kinnear, Frances Barber, Robert Bathurst, John Hopkins, Emma Cunniffe, Nikesh Patel and Tommaso Di Vincenzo.

The Mezzotint follows previous Gatiss Christmas ghost stories Martin”s Close, The Dead Room, The Tractate Middoth and Crooked House.

Gatiss, who also directs, said: “It’s delightful to be bringing a little seasonal unease to the nation once again and this famous MR James story is just the ticket. We”ve assembled a top-notch team to bring this eerie mystery – and a certain enigmatic old picture – to life.”|
