Kate Winslet to film Blackbird in late October
A new feature starring Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet and Mia Wasikowska is due to begin filming in the south-east in late October.
Blackbird is an English-language remake of Bille August’s 2014 Danish film Silent Heart with a screenplay by the same writer, Christian Torpe.
Roger Michell directs with Sherryl Clark and David Bernardi producing.

The story revolves around a terminally ill mother who sets up one last family weekend before she plans to take her own life.
The Millennium Films feature will be set in the US with locations outside London doubling for upstate New York.
