The Huntsman gallops to the UK next month
The UK is set to host major new production The Huntsman, the follow-up to the 2012 hit, Snow White and the Huntsman.
The sequel begins filming in April and reunites Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Nick Frost in their original roles; the roll call of A-list talent in the spin-off to the popular fairy tale is bumped up by the addition of Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt this time around.
Cedric Nicolas-Troyer is calling the shots - having replaced original director Frank Darabont - the Frenchman was conveniently second unit director and Academy Award-nominated VFX supervisor on the original. Producers are Sam Mercer, Palak Patel and Joe Roth of Roth Films, the LA-based shingle behind the feature. Screenwriters are Darabont, David Koepp and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
We first announced The Huntsman on Production Intelligence back in early October, and those following the project will know that we have since updated with shoot dates, studio details and names of the casting director, location manager and UPM.
