Martin Freeman joins cast of Edgar Wright's The World's End

Shooting has begun on Edgar Wright’s new film The World’s End – about five mates on a pub-crawl who have to save humanity. Referred to as the third film in a trilogy started by Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, the new film will star Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Pegg is also a co-writer on the project.

This week saw more members of the cast announced. Starring alongside Pegg and Frost will be Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike.

The film is being made by Working Title Films and Big Talk. Producers are Nira Park of Big Talk and Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. Exec. producers on the film are James Biddle and Liza Chasin as well as Wright, Pegg and Frost.
