Double Boost For Gleeson's At Swim-Two-Birds
Brendan Gleeson’s attempt to get into production with a film adaptation of the acclaimed Flann O’ Brien novel, At Swim-Two-Birds, received a double boost this week. First up, Michael Fassbender has joined a star-studded cast which already includes Gabriel Byrne, Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy.
Secondly, Film Fund Luxembourg has been unveiled as a financial backer for the project, which Gleeson hopes to direct in spring 2012. Gleeson picked up the rights to the classic novel seven years ago and has been actively advancing the project for about the last four of those.
