ITV orders thriller from West Road Pictures
ITV has commissioned a four-part thriller, Hollington Drive, from West Road Pictures and writer Sophie Petzal.
The drama centres on two sisters, Theresa, and her older head teacher sibling, Helen, whose seemingly close relationship is tested when a neighbour’s child goes missing.
West Road Pictures is an All3Media scripted production label, launched last year by Jonathan Fisher.
The company recently produced the second series of Blood – created by Petzal - and is currently in post on Penance for Channel 5.
Fisher said of the commission: “I couldn’t be happier to be re-uniting with the brilliantly talented Sophie Petzal on this gripping family drama.
“Sophie has written a captivating script that I feel sure will have the viewers hooked. We’re very excited to be working with ITV on this series, and can’t wait to get started.”
Petzal’s previous credits include The Last Kingdom, Riviera and Wolfblood. She recently won a Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award for Blood.
Hollington Drive will film later this year.
