Eddie Redmayne wraps The Aeronauts
Filming has wrapped on period feature The Aeronauts starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones.
The Amazon Studios and Mandeville Films movie began filming in late July in the UK with Tom Harper in the director’s chair.
The film is based on the real events of 1862 when scientist James Glaisher attempted to fly higher in an open balloon than anyone had before, accompanied by his co-pilot.
Jack Thorne wrote the screenplay; the project is produced by Mandeville’s Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman.
Thorne’s burgeoning schedule includes Paris-set musical drama The Eddy from Fifty Fathoms and The Forge’s forthcoming drama The Light, which begins filming next year.
Thorne’s other recent projects include feature film The Secret Garden, currently in post, and Bad Wolf’s His Dark Materials, in production in Wales.
