Outlander 7 wraps Scottish shoot

The seventh season of the historical drama Outlander, starring Sam Heughan, has wrapped filming in Scotland.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Heughan confirmed production wrap in a post that featured himself and co-star Caitríona Balfe holding a clapperboard emblazoned with the text: “That’s a wrap.“
The actor’s caption read: “That’s a WRAP!!! ?… 220 shooting days, a whole year of Outlander. THANK YOU to our amazing crew who have worked so hard and to our brilliant fans… we CANNOT WAIT for you to see season 8 @outlander_starz ?.“
Initially set around the time of the Second World War, the series centres on nurse Claire Beauchamp (Balfe), who travels through time to 18th-century Scotland, where she finds adventure and romance with Jamie Fraser (Heughan. It is based on the novel series written by Diana Gabaldon.
Outlander Season 7 is written and executive produced by showrunner Matthew B. Roberts; while Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis serve as returning executive producers.
