The Crow Girl renewed for second series at Paramount+

The drama relocates the original story setting from Stockholm to Bristol
Paramount+ has recommissioned psychological thriller The Crow Girl, set to film in Bristol later this year.
Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly, Clara Rugaard and Victoria Hamilton return to lead the cast of the second run of the drama , produced by Buccaneer Media.
The executive producers are Buccaneer’s Tony Wood, screenwriter Milly Thomas alongside Slash, Myles, Federico Ambrosini, Niclas Salomonsson and Erik Axl Sund. Charles Martin will direct, with Debs Pisani on board to produce.
The second season of The Crow Girl is produced in association with and distributed by ITV Studios, and was commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell, deputy chief content officer, UK, and Paul Testar, commissioning editor, for Paramount+ UK & Ireland.
Wood, executive producer and CEO of Buccaneer, said: “The opportunity to return to the world of DCI Jeanette, Sophia and Victoria is a real thrill; it’s a drama that stretches character and bends time. I’m absolutely delighted to be back.”
The first series of the Crow Girl filmed on location in Bristol for 12 weeks from January 2024, relocating the original story setting of Stockholm. The production base was at The Courtyard office complex in Bradley Stoke with Bristol Film Office supporting the shoot.
