Production got underway at Pinewood Studios this week on Anxious People, starring Angelina Jolie, Aimee Lou Wood and Jason Segel.

Anxious People is adapted from Fredrik Backman’s New York Times bestseller and centres on investment banker Zara who, on the night before Christmas Eve, begrudgingly finds herself mingling with a group of strangers at an open house.

When a reluctant bank robber, Grace, inadvertently takes the group hostage, chaos and oversharing ensue…

Marc Forster is in the director’s chair, calling the shots from a screenplay by David Magee – the pair previously collaborated on A Man Called Otto, also adapted from a Backman novel.

Anxious People is produced by Fredrik Wikström Nicastro of Stockholm and London-based Hope Studios and Renée Wolfe of 2DUX² in LA, with Marc Forster (who formed 2DUX²in 2012 with Wolfe), David Magee, and Neda Backman executive producing.

World Wide Word, the newly-formed financing entity of 2DUX², and Black Bear provided financing for the film. Black Bear is handling international sales.
