Guy Ritchie helming The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

The Man from UI.N.C.L.EA big screen remake of the hit 1960s TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E is in the pipeline, with Guy Ritchie on board to direct.

The original 1960s series starred David McCallum and Robert Vaughn, secret agents working for the mysterious agency, U.N.C.L.E. It ran for three and a half years and was a worldwide hit, even spawning a spin-off show, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. starring Stefanie Powers.

The new feature version is from American studio giant Warner Bros., who will use their UK HQ at Leavesden as their production base. Principal photography is due to get underway in the autumn.The film is one of many big budget Hollywood projects heading to the UK.
