About us
Dating back to 1382, Winchester College’s historic buildings and picturesque grounds on the edge of the South Downs National Park provide a broad range of opportunities for professional film and photography shoots, including a diverse selection of historic and contemporary locations.
As a popular heritage filming location in the South of England with Tudor, Edwardian and Victorian architecture, the College has previously been used as a location for a broad range of productions, including several seasons of The Crown, Les Misérables, and Anatomy of a Scandal and many more.
With the flexibility to offer bespoke location agreements to suit your scale of production, our experienced team offer versatile spaces which can be utilised as unit and/or tech bases, green rooms, hair, make-up and costume facilities including three large marquee sites for crew dining and holding.
The College has the unique advantage of being a large 250 acre private campus within a city centre location, just minutes from the M3 and within one hour from several London based studios.
Private photography shoot opportunities are also available throughout the grounds and buildings with a variety of beauty spots to choose from, including unspoilt water meadows, medieval courtyards and magnificent historic architecture.
We welcome all filming and photography enquiries and would be delighted to arrange initial site visits to tech recces throughout the year. We look forward to discussing how we can accommodate and assist with your production.
