Located on Greenwich Peninsula (North Greenwich) and just a stone’s throw away from the city centre, Magazine London remains largely undiscovered by film producers and location scouts.
The building boasts a refined industrial aesthetic, with a striking black design and polished concrete floors throughout its interior. The venue offers 3-phase power, high ceilings, multiple rigging points, production office space and dressing room facilities. Over 179,000 sq ft of external build space is also available, surrounded by panoramic views of the River Thames and Canary Wharf skyline.
As a purpose-built venue, Magazine London lends itself as an alternative film studio, providing an unrivalled landscape for filming, locations, set-build, rehearsals and unit base parking. The venue has previously welcomed the likes of Netflix and the BBC for productions, as well as world-renowned artists such as YUNGBLUD and Zara Larsson for music videos and live-streamed performances.
“Whilst looking for studio space in this very odd but busy time we decided to hire Magazine for a nine-week set build/shoot. The set-up process was very easy and with the abundance of adjacent parking, it made the actual filming very compact and easy. We built a number of sets within the studios and also utilised the fantastic view of Canary Wharf as a backdrop. The team at the Magazine are a joy to work with and I’m looking forward very much to working with them in the future.” Gary Pickering, GFE 3
“Magazine was a perfect choice when I was scouting venues for London Fashion Week. I think it has one of the best backdrops of any venue in London. Upon booking the organisation was seamless and on the shoot day, the venue manager was very supportive but never interfering! The dream combination!” Antony Waller, Mark Fast LFW show
