Space Studios Manchester

Space Studios Manchester is the principal film studio in the North of England offering 80,000sqft of stages, 25,0000sqft of workshop, 20,000sqft of offices, backlot and unit parking wrapped in a secure 700,000sqft site. Space Studios enjoys being central within the UK and services productions filming in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield & Liverpool and acts as a gateway to The Lake District, The Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and the stunning West Coast.
The Studios enjoy excellent support from expert crews living and working in the region. A recent external study showed that 85%+ of crew working on productions filming at the studios lived within 30 mins of the studios.
In addition to the studios Screen Manchester, the film office for Manchester, is able to provide support in filming in the region, access to unique locations and deliver support when crewing a production to shoot in the NW. A free crew database is also available for productions filming in the region to access.
In recent years Manchester has been voted 3rd best city in the world; Timeout 2021.
Due to continued success and demand for the studios and the region Space Studios has planning approved to build a further two 20,000sqft Stages with workshops and offices and will commence phase 3 of its expansion plans in 2023.
