Ofcom Appoints Janey Walker To Its Content Board
Media regulator Ofcom has announced four new members of its Content Board, the committee with responsibility for TV and radio content issues, including setting and enforcing quality and standards. It has also the appointed of a new Chairman of the National Advisory Committee for Wales.
The most notable addition is Janey Walker, until 2010 the managing editor for commissioning and head of education at Channel 4. Walker was at C4 from 1996-2010. Before that, she worked at the BBC from 1982-95. Other appointees to the board are David Levy, Glyn Mathias & Iseabail MacTaggart.
