The six-part series is set to begin shooting early next year

Natasha Lyonne and Matt Berry are set to headline new Sky Original drama Force & Majeure, which is slated to start filming early next year.

The series, created by Tom Scharpling, known for his work on Monk and What We Do in the Shadows, follows British art expert Thomas Force (Berry) and American mercenary Jennifer Majeure (Lyonne), who are recruited by a justice-obsessed billionaire to tackle villains across Europe.

The writing team includes Iain Morris, notable for The Inbetweeners and Time Bandits, along with Cirocco Dunlap, known for Russian Doll and The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy.

Force & Majeure is produced by Objective Fiction, part of Objective Media Group (an All3Media Company), in collaboration with Lyonne’s Animal Pictures and Sky Studios.

Executive producers include Ben Farrell and Hannah Mackay for Objective Fiction, alongside Lyonne and Max Ferguson for Animal Pictures, with Berry, Scharpling, Morris, Dunlap, and Alex Moody representing Sky.

Another Sky drama, War, a co-commission with HBO, began filming in the UK early this month, starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller.
