Sponsors for next month’s ceremony include Abbas Media Law and Garden Studios

Rivals, The Day of the Jackal, Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake and Slow Horses are among the high-profile shows set to battle it out at the 2025 Broadcast Digital Awards. 

Revealed as part of the full shortlist for the ceremony, which takes place on 2 July 2025 at The Brewery in London, U&W’s For Dogs’ Sake will vie with Disney+’s Rivals, Apple TV+’s Slow Horses and fellow UKTV title Bergerac (U&Drama) in the coveted programme of the year award (non-PSB). 

Rivals, alongside its Disney+ stablemate A Thousand Blows, will take on Jackal and Sky siblings Sweetpea and The Tattooist of Auschwitz, in the best drama programme category, as will LumoTV’s Where The Light Gets In.

Other hotly contested categories at the Broadcast Digital Awards, which are sponsored by Abbas Media Law and Garden Studios, include best documentary series, where BBC, Sky and Vice will go toe-to-toe with their respective titles Life and Death Row – Cop Killer, Small Town, Big Riot and Stacey Dooley: Rape on Trial (BBC), Boyzone: No Matter What and Game of Throws: Inside Darts (Sky Documentaries) and Spartan Bare Knuckle (Vice). 

Nominated in two categories, BBC Studios Entertainment-produced Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake will also compete in the best popular factual programme category, up against ITVX’s Evil Escapes (Gold Wala), U&Dave’s Guy Martin: Proper Jobs (North One TV), BET UK/5’s Living Lyrics (BBCS) Sky Sports Premier League YouTube’s Sky Sports Scenes (After Party Studios) and Will You Marry Me?, from Button Down for E4. 

Elsewhere, the Bluey Official Channel on YouTube, CBeebies, Channel 4.0, E4, Sky Sports Main Event and TNT Sports will contest the channel of the year gong and UKTV trio U&Drama, U&W and U&Yesterday will fight it out with Sky Sports Main Event and TNT Sports for channel of the year (non-PSB).
