The BBC is reported to be on the verge of bringing back Absolutely Fabulous, the hit comedy that ran for five series starting in 1992 and ending in 2004.

Scripted by Jennifer Saunders, the series famously satirised the PR, fashion and TV production industries, with Saunders playing alongside Joanna Lumley and Julia Sawalha. Lumley herself has stated in interview that the series will be returning, three episodes to be filmed in August.
