A new term starting soon at St Trinian’s

The third in Ealing Studios” series of St Trinian”s films is moving along nicely, with shooting currently anticipated to begin in the autumn.

The Untitled St Trinian”s III Project, as it is currently known, now has director Ben Gregor (All Stars, The Midnight Beast) on board, and is produced by Oliver Parker and Ealing Studios” Barnaby Thompson.

Based on the books by cartoonist Ronald Searle, the St Trinian”s films were originally a series of five, made between 1954 and 1980. The first feature in the new re-imaginings was released in 2007, and saw Rupert Everett as headmistress Camilla Fritton, the role originally played by Alastair Sim.

A couple of years later St Trinian‘s II: The Legend of Fritton”s Gold was released, this time also starring Colin Firth and David Tennant.
