Trigonometry gears up for production

Trigonometry, a new BBC Two drama described by the writers as an ‘unconventional and very adult rom-com”, is gearing up for production in the New Year.

Trigonometry is an 8 x 30 series by Duncan Macmillan and Effie Woods from House Productions, the company set up by Tessa Ross and Juliette Howell in 2016.

The drama centres on a cash-strapped couple who opens up their small apartment to a third person. The writers describe it as “about negotiating new relationships with compassion and humour.

“Set in a city that can feel cold and unfriendly, at a time when we”re more divided than ever, this is a show about love.”

The executive producers are Ross, Howell and Tommy Bulfin for the BBC.

Trigonometry is one of several dramas currently in pre-production in the capital; others include Gangs of London, The Capture and Hulu”s TV iteration of Four Weddings and a Funeral from MGM/Universal.
