Tin Star relocates to the UK

Tin Star

Sky’s crime drama Tin Star will return to the UK for its third and final season, with story settings in and around Liverpool.

The two previous series of the show followed Tim Roth’s former London detective Jim Worth as he relocated his family to a small town in the Canadian Rockies to escape a troubled past, only to run into trouble with local criminal elements.

Produced by Kudos and Gaumont UK, the show is written and created by Rowan Joffe. Location filming for the first two series took place in the Calgary region of Alberta.

The show will conclude with a six-part series that will film later this year.

“Bringing the narrative of the show back to the UK gives us an exciting opportunity to surprise our audience and give the Worth family an even bigger and more unexpected challenge this season,” said Alison Jackson, president at Gaumont.

Kudos is currently in pre-production on Deadwater Fell (w/t), the story of a small Scottish community coping with the aftermath of a shared tragedy, while comedy series Code 404 is now filming with Daniel Mays and Stephen Graham.
