Production Lab open for 2020

Peaky Blinders ScreenSkills’ Production Lab 2020 is now open for applications. 


The scheme is designed for those already working in high-end TV (HETV) as drama production assistants, production secretaries or assistant production co-ordinators looking to up their skillset to become production co-ordinator in HETV. 


It is also open to those working in factual TV as production managers/co-ordinators wishing to move to HETV. 


The Production Lab masterclass is free to attend online. 


The course will be available for six groups of 25 trainees, each attending three-hour Zoom sessions on four consecutive days. Each group will be assigned a morning or afternoon slot. 


Successful applicants will be placed on one of the sessions which are spread between 15th June and end 9th July.
  

The course will be led by production manager Imogen Gay (Peaky Blinders, Top Boy), whose career has included working on HETV titles for Netflix, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Atlantic. She will also introduce a range of expert guest speakers.


The course contents are designed to give junior production crew a comprehensive knowledge of standard practice across the industry. It covers all the crucial parts of the job.


The scheme organisers are primarily looking for candidates with HETV credits under their belt or a wealth of non-scripted production experience and a strong commitment to move into HETV.
