PFM initiates new partnerships

Film London

Film London’s Production Finance Market (PFM) has initiated new partnerships with the BFI London Film Festival (LFF) and the Breaking Through The Lens pitching lab.

Applications are open for this year’s PFM, which takes place on 7 and 8 October.

The PFM’s partnership with the LFF’s Buyers and Sellers industry programme is designed to facilitate an easier crossover for delegates attending both markets, Screen reports.

Breaking Through The Lens Cannes connects female filmmakers to financiers.

The partnership with PFM will see one project selected from the pitching lab and fast-tracked to the PFM, where it will be guaranteed inclusion in the main programme or the New Talent strand, while the project team will be able to attend all PFM events over the course of the two days.

Applications will be accepted for this year’s PFM through to 8 July. The market itself is supported by ScreenSkills, the Department for International Trade, the Mayor of London and the LFF.
