Three Tables Three Tables Productions, a new scripted drama indie, has confirmed that it is developing mystery thriller The Robber Baron’s Daughter for television as part of its deal with Fremantle.

Beatrix Christian (Picnic at Hanging Rock) will adapt Jamila Gavin’s novel as a series with Fremantle’s Christian Vesper executive producing.

The book follows a sheltered rich-girl who disobeys her powerful father to investigate the disappearance of her tutor, only to find herself at the heart of a nefarious criminal underworld.

London-based Three Tables Productions was founded by David Chikwe, Himesh Kar and JT Wong (pictured above) with David Green as chairman.

The company is also working on a procedural crime drama based on Unnatural Causes, the best-selling memoir of Dr Richard Shepherd; Simon Block is writing the series.

Wong said of the news: “At Three Tables Productions we want to tell stories you can’t find anywhere else.  That’s not just about finding great source material but also getting it out to the widest possible audience”.
