Marvel’s Ant-Man 3 readies for UK filming
The third in Marvel’s Ant-Man series of films, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is now in pre-production at Pinewood Studios, readying to shoot later in the year.
The film – the 32nd in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is based on the Marvel Comics characters Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man and Hope Pym, aka Wasp, played by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly respectively.
Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonathan Majors and Kathryn Newton are also among the cast.
Peyton Reed is back in the director’s chair; he directed the original Ant-Man in 2015 and its sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, in 2018. Disney (which acquired Marvel in 2009) now as a deal with Pinewood Studios to use the majority of its sound stages, backlots and production accommodation.
Robert Zemeckis is currently directing Pinocchio for Disney at the studio, and The Little Mermaid, also from the Mouse House, was a recent occupant.
Contrary to some reports, Ant-Man 3 has not been filming in Turkey.
