Location One opens at Longcross and Bridgend
Facilities by ADF has announced that Location One, which the former acquired in December, has opened branches at the group’s new operational base at Longcross (pictured) and Bridgend.
Location One is the UK’s largest integrated TV and film location service and equipment hire company.
Its new branch at ADF’s five-acre hub at Longcross was built last year, and is four times the size of its previous base in Hampshire. The new location is close to several major SE studios, including Longcross, Shepperton, Leavesden and Elstree.
Facilities on offer will include generators, water bowsers, lighting equipment, environmentally friendly battery-stores/other renewable solutions and other capital light consumables. Location One also practices the ECOPOD recycling solution – enabling full reporting for food, composting, recycling, and general waste streams for productions embracing albert and similar schemes. Like Facilities by ADF, Location One is an approved Albert supplier.
Location One’s other new branch in Bridgend aims to build and maintain relationships withing the Welsh screen sector, and is employing key hires from the local area. The workspace has recently been expanded with a new 5,400 sq ft factory unit, bolstering the existing 9,000 sq ft of floor space currently available, as part of the group’s expansion plans.
Marsden Proctor, chief executive of facilities by ADF, commented: “Following the successful acquisition of Location One in December, the opening of these two new branches is a further demonstration of our joint commitment to continue providing high-quality equipment and customer service levels to the growing high-end film and TV market in the UK.
“They will help to expand the community at Longcross and Bridgend, to promote significant growth opportunities for our extensive partner network and we are excited to officially welcome Location One to the sites, to continue to integrate the teams.”
Crispin Hardy, founder and CEO of Location One, added: “The expansion at Longcross and Bridgend will allow us to offer our complementary services to a wide breadth of production companies, creating an expanded Group offering, as investment in the UK Film and TV industry continues to accelerate at record pace. We look forward to building on our longstanding relationship with ADF and are excited about the future growth opportunities this enlarged Group will bring”.
Location One also recently opened a branch at Pioneer Studios, Scotland.
