Kate Beckinsale begins filming Jolt
Filming gets underway this week on Jolt, a new action-comedy starring Kate Beckinsale.
Beckinsale plays a homicidal bouncer with anger issues which she controls by using an electrode-lined vest to shock herself when she begins to feel murderous urges.
Tanya Wexler directs from a screenplay by Scott Wascha with David Bernardi and Les Weldon producing for Millennium alongside Sherryl Clark.
The director described the project as “a revenge-action film for every woman (and man) who wants to turn their inner ‘Thelma & Louise’ up to 11.”
Filming will take place in the UK and Bulgaria, where Millennium owns Nu Boyana Studios.
Jolt is one of several US features currently underway in the UK; others include 355, Enola Holmes, Tom and Jerry and Fast & Furious 9.
