Filming underway on LIFE

BBC OnePrincipal photography is underway in Manchester on LIFE, a new six-part drama for BBC One.

Drama Republic is producing the series that is written by Mike Bartlett, who also worked with the indie on Doctor Foster and King Charles III.

LIFE brings together four separate strands to tell a larger story. Set in a divided house in Manchester, the drama looks into each of the flats and the residents who live there.

Bartlett said at the time of the commission announcement: “It’s hugely exciting to be working with Drama Republic and the BBC again, to tell a brand new, epic story about seemingly 'ordinary' people who turn out to be anything but.”

The 6 x 60 is executive produced by Roanna Benn, Jude Liknaitzky and Mike Bartlett for Drama Republic and Ben Irving for BBC One. Kate Crowther produces.
