Filming begins on Us for Drama Republic
A 13-week shoot begins on Monday, 15 July, on an adaptation of David Nicholls’ 2014 novel, Us.
Doctor Foster producers Drama Republic is making the show that will be delivered to BBC One as a 4 x 60 run.
Nicholls’ book, which has been adapted by Nick Payne, follows Douglas and Connie Petersen, a couple whose marriage is on the edge.
When they go on a tour of European cities, Douglas views it as a last-ditch attempt to win back his wife as well as a chance to repair the troubled relationship he has with his teenage son.
Drama Republic is also production on Mike Bartlett’s LIFE, a story set in a large house in Manchester starring Alison Steadman, Peter Davison, Adrian Lester and Rachael Stirling.
