Putting the 'tech' into MPTS!
As this year’s Media Production & Technology Show is just around the corner, we bring you a round-up of some of the highlights of the tech sessions over the two day-event, held on 10 and 11 May at Olympia’s Grand Hall.
As viewing habits are constantly changing, and new technological innovations are coming onto the market at speed, MPTS will present an up-to-date, insightful look at the current trends, and hear from experts about their vision for the future of tech across the media and broadcast industry.
Tech sessions this year include: Technology Room 101; Return to the Moon - a VR Space Journey with BBC News; Fixed Rig - What is Next for the Genre?; The Coronation in 5G; Can Tech Ever Be Green? And What Tech Do I Really need to Know About?
A host of tech experts are lined up for debates and Q&As across the two days, including CEO and founder of Eluvio Michelle Munson; CCO and founder of Racoon, Charlotte Layton; VP Media Operations, A+E Networks EMEA, Jan-Hendrick Hein; director/virtual production director/founder, OnSet Facilities, Asa Bailey; senior transfer manager, BBC R&D, Ian Wagdin and author & broadcaster Stephanie Hare.
The other arm of the MPTS is, of course, the vast range of exhibitors, unveiling and demonstrating their latest products and encouraging interaction. From all stages of production including VP, there are too many to list here, but you can head over to the MPTS website to see who is already lining up to exhibit in the field of technology.
