The Cleaner S2 starts filming with Greg Davies
Filming gets underway this week on the second series of Greg Davies’ macabre anthology comedy, The Cleaner.
Davies writes the 6 x 30 show, which is an adaptation of the German comedy Der Tatortreiniger (Crime Scene Cleaner); Studio Hamburg UK produces for BBC One.
Each standalone episode sees Davies’ ‘Wicky’ visit a different location as he is tasked with the clean-up after terrible crimes and accidents.
When the first series launched, Davies said of his character: “To Wicky, a bloodbath is just an obstacle between him and his next pint."
The show is styled mostly as a two-hander; the first series featured cameos from Helena Bonham Carter and Stephanie Cole, among others.
