Brett Gelman’s Entitled starts shooting in Manchester
Entitled, a new comedy starring Brett Gelman starts shooting in Manchester this week for Channel 4.
The 8 x 30 comedy is from Two Brothers Pictures, and created and executive produced by Matt Morgan; Tim Kirkby directs.
Gelman plays Gabe, an American widower who must get to know his British wife’s estranged family in their crumbling gothic mansion in the English countryside. The family vies for his affections – and his newly-inherited fortune…
Gelman, who also exec produces alongside Jack and Harry Williams and Sarah Hammond of Two Brothers Pictures plus Kirkby, is best known for his roles in Fleabag, Stranger Things and Without Remorse.
He has also been a writer on a tranche of projects including feature film Lemon and the Dinner With Brett Gelman trilogy of comedy specials, co-written with Jason Woliner.
Entitled is co-produced by SHOWTIME in US, in association with All3Media International.
Gelman said at the time of the commissioning news “I am so excited to be back at it with my fam that is Harry, Jack, and Sarah at Two Brothers [they previously worked together on Fleabag].
“I am so incredibly grateful to Channel 4 and SHOWTIME and blessed to have a genius like Matt creating such a deliciously twisted world.”
