Shooting wraps in Scotland on Good Omens 2
An 18-week shoot has just wrapped in Scotland on the second series of Good Omens for Amazon and the BBC, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
Director Douglas Mackinnon – who was instrumental in steering the show to film its second run in Scotland - tweeted a picture, saying “That’s a wrap”.
The Amazon Studios/BBC Studios co-production is based on the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, with Gaiman showrunning alongside Mackinnon; the pair are also executive producers.
Rob Wilkins, John Finnemore and BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole also executive produce.
Mackinnon said at the time of the Series 2 greenlight news: “Taking Good Omens to my home country of Scotland to film a second season is an exciting dream come true for me. And with Michael Sheen and David Tennant returning as Aziraphale and Crowley, we really have an angel and a demon on our side.”
Scotland’s ability to draw major, large-scale international investment projects was boosted by the opening of FirstStage Studios, currently housing another Gaiman/Amazon drama, Anansi Boys.
