Filming underway on Strike, Troubled Blood
Filming got underway in London this week on the third in the series of Strike adaptations with Tom Burke as eponymous detective Cormoran Strike.
Troubled Blood is the fifth in the series of books by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling’s pseudonym) and is the third in Bronte Film and TV’s adaptations for BBC One (the first was delivered in two tranches). .Filming runs for around 11 weeks.
The first Strike drama was filmed in 2016, with the second going into production in 2019. Burke stars alongside Holliday Grainger in the show, working from scripts by writer Tom Edge.
Established in 2013, Brontë Film and TV develops and produces projects from Rowling and Galbraith; as well as the Strike books, it has also adapted Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy.
