C4Channel 4 Daytime has greenlit a full series order of Chalkboard TV’s Mend it for Money, following a successful pilot.

The new run comprises 20 x 60 episodes and will film in Scotland this summer as a co-production with Glasgow-based sister company Storyboard Studios.

The production will be housed in a specially created hub, with two craft experts competing to complete a high-end restoration on each of three objects featured in the show. Tom Allen narrates.

Natalie Humphreys, MD and exec producer, Storyboard Studio, said: “Here in the Glasgow production scene, we have a long history of making long-running popular factual formats; Mend It for Money will help carry that flame at a time when audiences more than ever look forward to tuning into TV that is great company.

“Mend It for Money is one of those rare shows that is inclusive and relatable as well as informative and entertaining.”

The executive producers are Mike Benson and Simon Cooper for Chalkboard and Natalie Humphreys for Storyboard. The pilot was filmed in Glasgow at The Engine Works.
