Production Finance Market opens

FIlm London

Applications are now open for Film London’s Production Finance Market (PFM), which takes place from 12-13 October this year.

The event connects filmmakers and financiers from around the world during one-to-one meetings.

The main strand accommodates feature film projects with budgets above £1m, while the New Talent Strand targets budgets below £1m.

Apply via http://filmlondon.org.uk/industry/pfm by Monday 6th July.

As the guidelines change on safety protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic, event details are yet to be finalised, as Film London will continue to monitor the situation and guidance.

Adrian Wootton OBE, chief executive of Film London and the British Film Commission, said: “Year on year the Production Finance Market adapts to answer the demands of the industry.

“We recognise the scale of hardship and economic challenges faced by producers, and this year it is more important than ever that we continue to foster a collaborative and diverse environment, where filmmakers and financiers can be introduced, build relationships and work towards potential deals.

“We are of course operating in unprecedented times and the impact of COVID-19 will be felt deeply by screen industries as we work through this ever evolving situation. PFM will follow Government guidelines and whether the event takes the form of a physical event or explores virtual solutions, we will create a space that is safe for all to ensure creative and business connections continue to flourish.

The Market is supported by the Department for International Trade (DIT), the Mayor of London and the BFI London Film Festival.
