The Witcher 2 to film in Scotland
The second series of The Witcher is gearing up to film in the UK with locations including the Isle of Skye and London. The Netflix fantasy drama will also shoot in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Henry Cavill stars as the solitary monster-hunter Giralt of Rivia with Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan among the co-stars returning for the second season.
The first series filmed largely in Hungary with stints in the Canary Islands and Poland; it premiered on Netflix in late December - the best result yet for a first-season original TV series for Netflix with 76 million member households watching.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has adapted the original books by Andrzej Sapkowski, although the fantasy brand is also well-known as a video game.
