Mark Wahlberg to film Infinite in the UK
Mark Wahlberg is lined up to star in Infinite, which is currently setting up a UK shoot directed by Antoine Fuqua.
The feature comes from LA-based Di Bonaventura Pictures and Paramount and is based on D Eric Maikranz’ novel The Reincarnationist Papers.
Wahlberg plays Evan Michaels, a man who tries to become accepted by the Cognomina, a secret society of people who have complete recall of their past lives.
Variety reported recently that Sophie Cookson is also lined up to star.
Inward investment projects continue to make a huge financial impact on the production spend in the UK. In 2018, incoming feature films (funded from international sources) delivered £1.6bn for the UK, according to figures released by the BFI – a staggering 84% of overall industry revenue.
Recent incoming productions include Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton for Netflix, a feature version of Tom and Jerry and Fast & Furious 9.
