Filming wraps on Dracula
Filming wraps today (31 July) on Dracula, from Hartswood Films for BBC One and Netflix.
The Hartswood Films drama is created and written by Sherlock supremos Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat and comprises three feature-length episodes.
Claes Bang stars as the charismatic vampire with a supporting cast including John Heffernan, Joanna Scanlan, Sacha Dhawan and Morfydd Clark.
The executive producers are Gatiss, Moffat, Sue Vertue and Ben Irving.
Since filming started in early March, Dracula’s production base has been at Bray Studios, former home to iconic British horror brand Hammer. It has also filmed at 13th century Orava Castle in Slovakia, doubling it for Transylvania.
Hartswood is also developing – along with Bryncoed Productions and writer Michael Hirst – a new TV adaptation of Boris Pasternak’s Doctor Zhivago.
