The Eternals to film in the UK
A new film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Eternals, is lining up to film in the UK.
The film is reportedly set to star Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani and is based on the comic works by Jack Kirby, co-creator of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
Set millions of years ago when a super-powered species called the Eternals were created by a group of Space Gods to defend the Earth and do battle against the evil Deviants.
Marvel’s presence in the UK is growing – Daniel Espinosa is currently at the helm of Morbius starring Jared Leto, and the studio giant is also nearing the start of principal photography on Black Widow with Scarlett Johansson.
Inward investment projects continue to make up a large part of production spending in the UK – according to recent figures published by the BFI, incoming movies and co-productions accounted for 78% of the overall spend in the 2018-2019 financial year.
