Dracula gears up for spring filming

Claes Bang The new three-part iteration of Bram Stoker’s Dracula from the team behind Sherlock is gearing up to film in the UK in the spring. 

Award-winning Danish actor Claes Bang (pictured) stars as the charismatic vampire in the drama that is inspired by the Gothic novel, first published in 1897. 

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have written the mini-series that sees them reunite with Sherlock producers Hartswood Films.

It is a co-production between BBC One and Netflix. Gatiss and Moffat executive produce alongside Sue Vertue for Hartswood and Ben Irving for the BBC.

Dracula is one of many major dramas gearing up to film next year in the UK. Others include the second series of Bulletproof, an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sanditon and prison-set drama Clink.
