Last Christmas gears up for London filming
Principal photography begins next week in London on Last Christmas.
Paul Feig is directing the holiday romance that comes from Universal Pictures. The screenplay is by Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings; Thompson also produces with David Livingstone.
Livingstone recently wrapped a Judy Garland biopic starring Renee Zellweger as the iconic performer. The feature shot in London – the story centres on Garland’s 1968 sell-out season in the capital – earlier this year.
Also underway in London currently is Guy Ritchie’s latest feature, Toff Guys. Filming began on the Miramax feature a couple of weeks ago – it stars Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant and Kate Beckinsale.
Blackbird, a family drama starring Kate Winslet, Susan Sarandon and Mia Wasikowska that is based on the 2014 Danish film Silent Heart, is at the end of a three-month shoot in the capital with Roger Michell at the helm.
