Queens of Mystery films London and Kent

A new drama commissioned by Acorn will film in London and Kent next month.

Queens of Mystery centres on an eternally single female detective and her three crime-writing aunts, who divide their time between sleuthing and setting their niece up on dates.

Sly Fox Productions is making the show for the US subscription streaming channel. Doc Martin and New Tricks writer Julian Unthank has created the show and is joined on writing duties by Matthew Thomas (The Rook).

It is the third UK original drama ordered by Acorn – it commissioned a second series of Agatha Raisin (originally a Sky project) and two back-to-back runs of London Kills starring Hugo Speer. Both are currently in production.
