New E4 comedy sets dates and names
A July shoot is in the pipeline for new E4 comedy Maxxx, written by and starring O-T Fagbenle as a former boy band star trying to make a comeback.
Luti Media is making the six-part series with Pier Wilkie producing.
HoDs now confirmed on Production Intelligence include the producer, line producer and location manager.
Fagbenle, who also directs, said when the series was first commissioned, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write and direct Maxxx, a comedy series, which doesn't just parody the worst of our social media obsessed entertainment industry but also speaks to the narcissistic, ego maniacal and unnecessarily long-winded fool in all of us.”
Maxxx is one of nearly 100 projects currently in pre-production in the UK, with comedies including a full series run of Porters for Dave and Ricky Gervais’ new series for Netflix, After Life.
