Armando Iannucci film gears up
Armando Iannucci’s next film as director is gearing up with pre-production underway in the UK.
The Personal History of David Copperfield is a modern-day take on the Dickens classic with Dev Patel (pictured) as the eponymous orphan who makes his way through a chaotic world.
Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Ben Whishaw, Aneurin Barnard, Rosalind Eleazar and Morfydd Clark round out the cast.
Iannucci wrote the screenplay with Simon Blackwell – the pair has collaborated several times before on projects including political satires Veep, In the Loop and The Thick of It. Iannucci and Kevin Loader produce.
