Eva Green to film in Wales
A new feature film starring Kathy Bates and Eva Green is set to film in south Wales in early autumn.
A Patriot will be directed by Dan Pringle from a screenplay he wrote with Toby Rushton, a script editor whose recent credits include Eran Creevy's urban crime movie Welcome to the Punch.
Adam Merryfield of White Lantern Film and John Giwa-Amu of Red & Black Films are producing.
The sci-fi thriller is set in the future where an authoritarian state has closed itself off from a world at war.
It will star Eva Green, Kathy Bates and Ed Skrein with location filming taking place over six weeks in Swansea and Port Talbot.
PI subscribers can log in and follow A Patriot on the site, where the casting director is already listed.
Several major projects are currently filming in Wales including period drama Jerusalem for Channel 4 and Netflix, and the second series of Sky Atlantic’s Roman conquest drama Britannia.
Features preparing to film Wales include Six Minutes to Midnight and Eternal Beauty.
